My first team wasn’t football or soccer or baseball. It was snow skiing. In Vermont you learn that you can stay inside all winter and be bored or you can go outside and have fun! I chose to have fun. The fun wasn’t always easy because it was COLD. But in a sport of individual competition, it was the team effort that made each of us more successful.
This team of individuals brought our small school twelve consecutive State Skiing Championships, nine Six-State Regional Championships and consistently placed team members on US Olympic ski teams. New members learned from older members and the older members got better by working with the newbies.
Real Estate is like skiing (but not as cold) in that it is the performance of each individual that helps the team to win. Helping individuals is what I have strived for in my professional careers which have included teaching, corporate training, sales management, building and selling businesses, and now the most fun of all... Real Estate. Helping others, setting goals and working hard is one of the very simple but effective formulas for success.
