Like JBGoodwin himself, I am a true Texan – born and raised here in our great state! I am a native of San Antonio and lived there until I left home right after high school. After graduating from Texas A&M University, I spent about 8 years in Dallas before finally landing in Austin in 1994. I can’t believe it took me this long to get here!
I have always been interested in houses. When I was young, I would help my dad and my brothers with repair jobs and I loved figuring out how things worked. I went on to study architecture and engineering in college, finally finding the perfect fit for my degree with a blend of the two called “Construction Science.”
During my third job in the construction industry, I took a real estate class to help me better understand the selling end of the homes we were building. That lead me to get my real estate license in 1994 and finally to the career that I still love to this day – helping people fulfill their real estate dreams. It is truly the greatest job I have ever held. I feel honored that I get to guide new licensees into this career, then help them develop it.
One of my favorite things about working in real estate is its flexibility. As a mother of two, I learned early on how easy (and necessary!) it was to tote a child around while showing houses and putting up signs. In fact my youngest attended her first closing when she was just 8 days old! I have since helped many young mothers find their own balance between work and family life.
I have been managing the Westlake office since 2001 and have sponsored and trained some of the best agents in the business. I would love the opportunity to help you start or further your own real estate career!
