My wife and I were both born and raised in California (North and South) until we visited friends in the Hill Country. They took us out on Lake Travis in the summer, and Lake Austin in the winter, and we decided a calm lake was a lot better than a crowded beach and Texas BBQ was better than anything I'd had before. We compared other work-life balance issues and packed up my mom and moved to Spicewood. We have not looked back since.
