About Steven Miller

Legendary singer and Austin hometown hero Willie Nelson has said, “There’s a freedom you begin to feel the closer you get to Austin, Texas.” Little did I know how true Willie’s words would prove to be when I moved to Austin from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in 1988. It is easy to fall in love with the vibrant beauty of the Hill Country and the exciting diversity of the self-proclaimed “Live Music Capital of the World”. For me, Austin has epitomized a world of endless possibilities.

 

My involvement in the Austin theatre and entertainment communities has opened many doors, has brought me much joy, and has introduced me to countless friends – many of whom have made significant contributions to American politics, entertainment, and culture. It is a testament to the creativity and resilience of Austinites that on any given weekend there are always amazing talents to see at Zach Theatre, Antone’s Nightclub, and Esther’s Follies – to name only a few Austin landmarks.

 

A University of Texas at Austin graduate, I was fortunate enough to have had a long and successful career on the original 40 Acres of my alma mater. As the Director of Administrative Operations for Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services, I helped to grow a new office of a dozen people into a vital IT department of close to two hundred staff members that has been instrumental in shaping both technology and teaching at the flagship university. Despite having recently retired from UT, I will forever be a Longhorn.

 

Having purchased and sold my own residences in different areas of Austin through the years, I have seen the city evolve from a “college town” to the fast-growing, economically robust metro that it is today. I also have experienced both the elation and profound stress that can come with home buying and selling. I know that I can help you navigate the ever-changing processes of purchasing, selling, and leasing real estate. It will be my sincere pleasure to do so.
